Meet Miffy McTaggart, the brains and artisan behind the amazing label, Smoked Salt Tasmania.  Her "office" overlooks the D'Entrecasteaux Channel in Snug, Tasmania, and this backdrop inspires her beautiful products.  With local fresh trout, salmon, venison and much more to work with, Miffy has developed her ranges to enhance and complement them.

Miffy's smoking method uses recycled port, bourbon and sherry barrel shavings that infuse a beautiful rich flavour in her smoked products such as her salts and sugars.  She also boasts a stunning "Just Add Cheese" range that includes onion jam, walnuts and honey.  Not surprisingly, Smoked Salt Tasmania has gained national and international awards. 

As an addition to the Smoked Salt Tasmania produce, Miffy collaborates with the artists from the Papulankutja Art Centre in the form of individually designed salt bowls and salt & pepper shakers packaged with salts and peppers from her range.  They make an inspired gift for your hard-to-buy-for friend or relative.
