"La Maria" is an interesting white blend produced using two iconic (but unusual in Australia) Portuguese varieties: Maria Gomes 80% and Verdelho 20%.

The Maria Gomes was hand picked, skins left macerating for a few hours before gentle pressing in a vertical basket press. Fermentation on light solids. Then the blend with Verdelho, just before bottling.
A wine that pairs well with oysters, grilled barramundi, and soft cheeses.
