Colour: Vibrant magenta red with tints of brick red. Aroma: Ripe sweet fruits dominate with red berries, blackcurrant and cooked plums to the fore. The oak support produces a hint of chocolate and a toast cinnamon character. Palate: The wine offers sweet fruit impressions supported by plum and blackcurrant fruit flavours. Secondary flavours of cedar, leather, tobacco and hints of spice are backed by fine tannins and a lingering toasty finish. The wine is velvety smooth and rich and shows the potential to age for many years. Barrel fermented, ready to drink now or age for 5-7 years. 14.5% Alc/Vol.
