The organic virgin coconut oil we use is sourced from wild-harvested coconuts in the Solomon Islands, which is then pressed by hand within one hour of the coconut being opened. Solomons Gold is an Australian family owned cacao social enterprise and we've been working with local Solomon Island cacao growers and their communities for over a decade. We personally select the best cacao from the Solomon Islands and we then handcraft our chocolate out of our award winning bean-to-bar chocolate factory in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.
We pay our growers well above Fairtrade prices and we provide infrastructure and funding to not only help improve the quality of their cacao beans, but to improve the quality of their lives. From the beginning, our focus as a social enterprise has been on ensuring 100% sustainability to benefit future generations of the Solomon Islands people.
